1. Information we collect

Information you give us

We only collect personal information that you choose to send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. The Site has no sign-up forms and no accounts.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, the server that hosts the Site BigScoots records standard technical details when you visit: your IP address, browser and operating system, the time of your visit and the pages you view. We use these records to keep the Site running, secure and working well. Google Analytics (see section 3) collects similar details about how you use the Site.

Fonts

The Site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. To deliver them, Google receives your IP address and browser details. Google's use of this information is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

Payment information

We don't collect or store payment details. When you buy a product, you do so on the seller's own website, under that seller's privacy policy.

2. How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

• run and maintain the Site;
• keep the Site working well and improve it;
• answer your messages and questions;
• detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security problems;
• meet our legal obligations.

3. Cookies and tracking

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the Site is used: which pages are visited, how far people scroll, and which links and buttons are clicked. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as “_ga”) that tell repeat visits apart, and processes your IP address in a shortened form. We don't use it to identify you personally. Google's use of this information is covered by Google's Privacy Policy; you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We don't use advertising trackers on the Site.

If you reach the Site from an ad, the page address may contain ad codes (such as Google's “gclid” or “utm” tags). When you click a buy button, the Site passes these codes on to the seller's website so the seller can tell which ad you came from. What happens next is covered by the seller's own privacy policy.

You can set your browser to block or delete cookies at any time.

4. Other websites and services

The Site links to other websites, such as product sellers, Trustpilot and ClinicalTrials.gov. Each of them has its own privacy policy, which covers how it handles your information.

Service providers that help us run the Site, such as our hosting provider, Google Fonts, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, only receive the information they need to do that work.
